When Elegance Has Gone Wrong

Being a high calibre woman means that you also have to be elegant. Elegance is so important in how we can present ourselves to others but sometimes it can go wrong.

The picture below is an example of a great elegant outfit, however to make it more elegant, the skirt could have been a little longer for example although overall this outfit is still great.

It is little mistakes like these which may go unnoticed to the untrained eye, however once corrected they add so much more to your outfit and bring it to the level of a high calibre woman which is what we’re trying to achieve!

In my latest YouTube video I explain examples of when elegance has unfortunately gone wrong. Click the video below to watch and hopefully you won’t make the same mistakes!

  1. Hi Anna, keep up the great work! You always look so beautiful in your YouTube videos. Please, please, please do a YouTube video on what an elegant lady should wear at home. Should we wear makeup? What clothes would be elegant but comfortable for home? Thank you!! Alesha

  2. I appreciate a mix of [1] casual ‘girlfriend chat’ videos, and [2] elegance/self-improvement instructional sessions. The first – as a reassurance that you are with me on my way to a lovelier way of personal elegance in my life, and the second, as my self-directed personal training tools. For example, [1] reassurance that a woman of any age [ 45+] can strive for personal improvement, which can be a struggle, if a person feels that those around her don’t understand, or verbally put down, her wish for self improvement, and [2] your advise & suggestions, e.g. how to accessorize with jewellery, such as beautiful vintage brooches, large heirloom pieces; choosing the right belt for an outfit; dressing for a curvy figure, selecting the best clothing colours for very light skin tones; dealing with aging skin especially on neck & décolletage, travelling with pets, more on purses & shoes that need to be elegant but practical for hectic everyday life; writing thank you notes – when is written better that email, etc. Thanks

  3. Yes but because she looks petite, wearing a skirt or dress above the knee is ok (as long as it’s not micro!) I have the same situation because I’m quite petite, even more than the girl in the photo, and when I wear things up to the knee or below I look a bit granny. This rule works for a taller or curvier ladies perhaps.

  4. What was the website to buy expensive looking feminine clothes affordable you had mentioned in one of your videos?

  5. Bravo! While there are standards of deportment and etiquette, being a more refined and elegant version of yourself…without destroying your personality or passing yourself off as something/someone you’re not…is the best form of refinement and elegance.
