The first week of new years resolutions is over, 51 weeks left to go! Who can say they have been making some serious efforts? In all honesty, I have been on holiday, so my resolutions started only yesterday, on the 8th of January!
It’s okay; it happens! For this reason, I want to encourage anyone who still haven’t got down to work on those promises, plans, and dreams – it’s not too late to start! Why not begin your goal setting journey this week together with me?
I think it’s important to use the momentum a new year gives you, to start fresh and focus on changes. It’s somehow easier to get yourself off from state Zero and take one step forward in the right direction when you know other people are also working on themselves to improve.
Usually, the first week is the easiest; then it gets tougher and tougher as we start “forgetting” about the promises we made on January 1st. Here on JetsetBabe, I won’t allow that to happen, as this blog is all about continuously striving to become the best version of ourselves and achieve our dream life. My motto is; Anything is possible – because it is!
So if you need some inspiration for what to improve in 2018, here are some important resolutions to take note of. If you still haven’t made any, perhaps this list can change your mind. Commit to something small that’s doable. Even if it’s just one thing. In one year we shall re-cap so look forward to have a feeling of:
“oh I’m so glad I started changing that a year ago, look where I’m now!”
That’s going to be the motivating spark for me this year!

New Years Resolutions Inspiration
Reduce the time you spend online. Check Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc less frequently and dedicate that time to people and life events that matter.
Stop with your addictions to fat, sugar, spices, salt, caffeine or any foods that you know are only there for you to be stimulated and more addicted by and nothing else. Most of us overeat, let’s stop that all together, and aim for a healthier 2018. Let’s not eat anymore of the things we know do us harm and only makes us addicted!
Challenge yourself. Do the things you’re afraid of doing to get maximum growth in life. You will tap into undiscovered areas that might take you to places you never thought would be possible.
Don’t get hung up or give any of your time to men who don’t deserve it. Let go of the bad ones to make room for the good ones. There are some amazing and trustworthy men out there, waiting to meet the woman of their dreams. The mistakes we do is never to allow them to enter because we hold on too much of the past. Make a resolution to be smart in your love life and let go of all insecurities that are holding you back.
Create a circle of friends that you trust and care for deeply. Let go of the ones you know are not your real friends and who’d never be there for you when you need them. We tend to collect friends out of boredom or fear at times. But if you work on your confidence, you’ll discover you won’t need any of these friends to live a happy and fulfilling life, as long as you have a great relationship with yourself.
Heal your past. Go to therapy, get spiritual healing or anything that will make you overcome wounds that are only holding you back. We all are wounded from the past. We all have baggage that is heavy to carry at times. How heavy is your baggage? Is it too heavy to burden a new 2018 with?
I know once we come to terms with some deep-rooted infections in us, miracles start to happen. People begin to change and blossom to their fullest potential. I went to therapy for two years because I wanted to overcome the obstacles that were hindering me from achieving success. What could you do for your self-improvement? What could you do for your future?
Drinking too much. Smoking. Taking drugs. Binge eating. Shopoholism and other unclassy behaviors that must come to an end. Enough of those nasty habits and aim to have a classier year, where nothing will be in the way of your best self.
Travel more. Do things that genuinely make you happy. Get a rush out of life. Change your routine. Do things that scare you. Be wild and crazy, anything that wakes you up from your winter coma and making you feel alive. What is life if we don’t feel like we’re living it? It’s only footprints of the past. Live it at the moment and embrace it. Life is now.
Stop talking and start doing. The worst ever are the “fantasy achievers.” They read every book out there, go to every course, get all the right people involved but never end up achieving more than daydreaming and making plans for what could happen. Don’t be that person, step out of your dreams and start doing. No matter what it is, just make the ball rolling.
How does it sound?
Anything to take away with you and to empower you on your new journey in 2018?
I’ll be very focused this year, as I’m done with being in La La land… Now is the time to make things happen… I can’t wait for this year to unfold, it will be the best year ever.
