  1. I’ve followed your blog for a long time and I admire the work you’ve done with it, but for me it is quite disheartening. All the women that you show here look the same: white, long hair, model type. There is NO diversity, it’s like you’re saying that only women who fit this mold ARE jetset babes. There are no Asian women, no Black Women, no Mixed women, just white models EVERYWHERE. It’s very sad. But I guess that is just how the world works… this one at least.

    • I get this question often, I might need to put up a FAQ soon šŸ™‚ On a serious note I understand your concern. But, I have blogged about in the past explaining that the women posted in my pictures are 90% eastern europeans. The reason is not because I don’t like any other nationalitites, but simply because I’m having a hard time finding a lot of other jet set girls on instagram who are sharing their jet set life with the world. Eastern europeans however seem to have an ongoing trend where they really like to flaunt their luxury lifestyle hence making my job much easier. I keep telling my readers, feel free to suggest other nationality girls instagram accounts to me, I will follow them and share them if they have this particular style. Do you know of anyone?

    • Ohh you’re the best! šŸ˜€ You found where these kimono’s are from! Thank a million, I love it! Gonna get one for sure!
I personally love yellow, because it will really contrast against tanned skin. šŸ™‚

  2. One idea I would recommend you could try is to go to a tailor if you happen to be in the Asian part of the world anyway…Singapore has quite great ones! That’s where some men like to get their tailored suits & shirts…Some advantages of this are:
    a) you select the material in store (and they have amazing real silk there in all possible colors!)
    b) the pricing is very reasonable, as you don’t pay for the ‘brand’ and marketing costs of that company + you can negotiate šŸ˜‰
    c) it will fit perfectly, because you have been measured
    d) you can bring pictures of the ones you really like (like those above) to give them a better idea of how it must look like
    e) there will be likely not many other girls having the same piece anywhere…
The only one issue you have to keep in mind is to ensure the shop is reliable and will make a good job in tailoring. However, since most kimonos come from Asia, they should really know how to do it šŸ˜‰
I believe to remember you posted about your hand-luggage journey through Thailand (or somewhere else in Asia) – this might be a good place to look for this kind of tailoring. Also some online research may be helpful to see reviews of ‘Western clients’ who have visited them before and recommend them or not…
hope you’ll find this magci kimono soon!
    much love,
    cat

    • Ahh what a good advice! You know, it didn’t even cross my mind šŸ˜€ Will definitely pay a tailor a visit, I’ll be going to Thailand as well so can check in both places. Thanks xxx
