Did you know that 90% of women in this world have cellulite?
Did you also know that cellulite is not bound to whether a person is skinny or fat, anyone can have it regardless of size?

Cellulite happens when fat stores push through the connective tissue underneath the skin. It’s mostly women who get it as we have a different structure in how our fat cells are arranged underneath the skin compared to men. When the fat cells grow bigger, the tops start bulging and poke through the tissue layer. The most common cellulite areas are thighs and bums, considering that’s where most of the woman’s fat is stored.

It’s difficult to say why some women get cellulite and others less. Genetics play a prominent role. It mainly depends on your ethnicity, skin thickness, metabolism, and fat distribution under the skin. But other important contributors to developing cellulite are age, lifestyle, and hormones. This is why nobody has yet invented an efficient cure for cellulite.

You should forget all those creams and treatments that promise you a body free of cellulite.

Creams won’t work, and with treatments, the results will only be temporary. There are numerous amounts of expensive anti-cellulite treatments you can do at clinics, some are even invasive. You might see a difference, but unfortunately, the cellulite will come back 3-6 months after you stop with the treatments. They will never remove it permanently for you, so what’s the point?

Is it game over then? Do you have to accept the fact that cellulite will be part of your life forever?

Not necessarily. There are things you can do that actually work, but it’s rarely one single thing alone but a matter of a combination of things that you need to do.

Weak connective tissue in your body contribute to cellulite, and a lack of exercise, muscle tone and poor circulation in your body is what creates the perfect environment for cellulite development. This means that you need to be active and exercise as people with a sedentary lifestyle are the ones who mostly are prone to cellulite.

Going to the gym is not always motivating, as we often think of exercise as a daily must to burn off calories or lose weight. But if you take in to account the fact that training is the number one cellulite killer and the biggest prevention for it, perhaps things can start to feel a little bit more motivating?

Когда я только пришла заниматься в зал, мне было важно попасть к человеку, который поможет мне стать здоровее и красивее. Который сделает из меня не свой идеал фигуры, а то что нравится мне. Я готова была работать на все 100% . Своего первого тренера я не выбирала, а послушала совета знакомой. По её словам, это был человек супер-профессионал. Весь месяц, который мы провели в зале, чаще всего он смотрел на свои мускулы в зеркала, пытался заигрывать со мной и нехотя показывал мне то, что я должна была выполнять. Ему совершенно не было важно работать на мой результат, он просто отрабатывал свой час. Месяц я ждала( чего не понятно), а потом мы просто распрощались. Что я сделала: я подошла на ресепшн клуба и попросила дать мне резюме всех тренеров. Я тщательно их изучила: внимание уделяла образованию, достижениям в области спорта, наградам, и опыту. Это первое, на что Вы должны обращать внимание. Второе, Вам должно быть комфортно в общении с этим человеком. Третье, Вы должны поставить перед ним свои цели и послушать что скажет он. Мой нынешний тренер, с которым мы уже много лет вместе, к примеру , никогда не предлагал мне пить и есть спортпит . Он сказал, что результаты можно достичь и без этого, что мы и сделали .С одной стороны ,Ваш тренер должен быть тонким психологом, чтобы понимать Ваше внутреннее состояние, а с другой, работать на Ваш результат. Вы спокойно можете обратиться к нему по любому вопросу, касающимся Вашей формы: питание, тренировки и распределение нагрузки, даже когда Вы на отдыхе. Вы должны доверять ему, но прежде Вы должны удостовериться, что он настоящий профессионал своего дела. Об этом, скажут Ваши результаты при работе с ним. Даже через месяц Вы их сможете наблюдать , но при условии, что , действительно, Выполняете все требования и отдаётесь тренировкам на 100%.☝🏻️. Насчёт выбора : мужчина или женщина . Я выберу всегда мужчину для работы в зале. Объясню почему. Потому что он не конкурирует с женщиной. Женщина-тренер же, никогда не сделает фигуру лучше, чем у себя. Может быть прозвучит обидно сейчас, но я скажу : я ни разу не встречала женщину-тренера в зале, чья фигура была бы для меня примером и я хотела бы иметь такую же. Продолжение ниже👇🏻

The most important thing to do is to focus on tightening your thighs and glutes, as you will end up toning the muscles beneath the fat deposits and get rid of cellulite-prone areas this way. When muscles are toned, cellulite shows less or disappear altogether.

Cardio will, on the other hand, help you get rid of stored fat = Good Bye cellulite building blocks! Both cardio and muscle toning is, therefore, a must in your exercise regime!


What is exercise if your diet is off?

To remind you, cellulite is stored fat that bulges together, so it’s not rocket science to understand that you need to eat healthy in order not to grow additional fat cells in your body that will create cellulite. Preferably we would eat so healthily that our bodies start using old fat cells as fuel. But this stage is difficult to reach unless you keep a strict diet or do fasting, not impossible, just requires dedication (I will be sharing my fasting stories and expertise in future posts.)

Diet is a big topic on its own, and it’s difficult to advise people on “eating healthy” because people’s perception of what healthy food is, varies dramatically. I used to think I was eating healthy until I learned a lot about nutrition and understood what’s actually healthy.

The point is. Understand that you need to have an adequate diet if you want to get rid of your cellulite, and it might have to change dramatically depending on your eating habits today. Whatever you have to do, think of it as you need to lessen your body’s fat production so that less fat is pushing through the tissues of your skin creating cellulite. Decide what type of diet will help you achieve this. A majority of the food you eat contains salt, sugar or fat that is very cellulite friendly (not good).

If you want to eat correctly, you would only eat natural, plant-based food. Preferably a raw vegan diet that would make you a terrible host for any cellulite formation.

Dry Skin Brushing

Anyone who is on a serious anti-cellulite mission should incorporate skin brushing in their daily routine. What happens is that you stimulate your lymphatic system and boost circulation that reduces visible cellulite. Remember how important exercise is for cellulite because it spikes the blood flow and circulation in your body? Skin brushing does the same!

As a result, it softens hard fat deposits below the skin while distributing fat deposits more evenly helping you to achieve a smooth, perfect surface.

Buy any brush for the skin with firm natural bristles.

Ideally, you brush yourself once or twice a day; many make it a habit of doing before they jump into the shower. It will literally take you a few minutes, and you should brush your whole body, although thighs and bum are the most important parts to focus on (do a little extra on those areas.) You should brush with moderate pressure, strokes towards your heart and your skin should be pink (not red) once you’re done.

To summarize.

If you’re consistent with training, diet and dry skin brushing, you should be able to notice a decrease of cellulite that will be permanent (unless your bad habits return). You will not see a difference tomorrow, but over time if you’re consistent, you will get results.

If you don’t have cellulite, then doing these three will be the perfect prevention technique and you can stay away from fat build up under your skin.

Remember: Exercise and dry skin brushing is for your blood circulation, and healthy diet to minimise overgrowth of fat cells. Do this daily, and you will be able to get rid of cellulite once and for all!

  2. The claims in this article are dangerous exaggerations. In my early 20s, I was eating (too) perfectly, running 20 miles a week, lifting, and had a BMI of 18-18.5… and still had visible cellulite on my thighs. It taught me valuable lessons about genetics and the illusion of control, as my focus on perfect behaviors amounted to an eating and exercise disorder. If people are eating and exercising well, remaining cellulite should simply be accepted. To imply otherwise is damaging.
